Jennifer
Practice ManagerJennifer has been the Practice Manager since August of 2022 but has been with Maplewood since it opened in June of 2020. Prior to joining the veterinary field, she worked in Early Childhood Education in Virginia, where her family was stationed during her husband’s career in the U.S. Navy. Jennifer and her husband have two adult children and three Golden Retrievers — “the boys,” Bodee and Bandit, and their sweet girl, Maggie. She enjoys greeting patients as they arrive at the clinic and getting to know their owners. Jennifer is grateful that Dr. Nelson and Faith took a chance on her when she joined the team with no prior veterinary experience.

RVT - Lead TechnicianMy name is Abbe, RVT – Lead Tech. I have worked at Maplewood since February 2021 as a veterinary technician. I graduated from Iowa State with my bachelor’s in animal science and went on to get certified as a vet tech. My favorite part of working here is being there to care for your pets in emergency situations. I have 2 St. Bernards and 2 cats of my own.

RVTCrystal is an RVT and has worked at Maplewood Veterinary Center since August of 2021. Prior to becoming a vet tech, she was a zookeeper. She is passionate about working with animals and providing them with the very best care. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exercising and spending time with her family and pets. She has 2 dogs, 2 birds, 1 lizard, 1 rat and a freshwater fish tank.
